From being unemployed to employing 4 people, life has travelled a long way… Thanks HADP…

Bashir Ahmad, an apple grower from Kashmir, struggled with manual grading—costly, slow, and labor-intensive. Through HADP and Kisan Sampark Abhiyan, he set up a Portable Grading Line on 5th February 2024 with a 50% subsidy of Rs 2.5 lakh.
Now, Bashir processes 25-30 apple boxes per hour, employs 4 people, and earns an additional Rs 40,000-50,000 monthly. With plans to expand to a double-line machine, Bashir’s success highlights how modern solutions can transform livelihoods and improve market access.
